about
The long time missing underground artist Jo Yonderly has finally been found! After years of searching, the man behind the mystical and enchanting demos that reached the Rama Lama HQ some time ago have been tracked down in Malmö, Sweden. This with great help from Djoana Djones who is currently making a documentary about the journey, the first teaser is available to see here. ‘Dead Inside the Inside’ was the first track to reach the public’s ears from a forthcoming debut album ‘Greatest Hits 1.0’ and now we can present the second single, ‘Chemical cuddle’.
Chemical Cuddle is totally different from Dead Inside the Inside, starting off slowly and gradually building up a dreamy soundscape to sweep you away. The track features label mate Julia Rakel on chorus.
Jo Yonderly on Chemical Cuddle: "This song was recorded six years ago. Recorded in my rehearsal space, it was originally meant to be one of four songs on an EP (that was never released). I remember I hated the recording at the time, but I learnt to accept it, and I ended up loving it. Other than me, this song features the familiar voice of Julia Rakel, Patrik Schlegel (drums), Fredrik Persson (bass), David Calgaro (lap-steel guitar) and Mathias Schlegel (synthesizer), all of whom I consider to be fantastic musicians. On the forthcoming album you’ll hear more from some of them."
Chemical Cuddle is out now on all platforms and ‘Greatest Hits 1.0’ will be out April 23 on limited vinyl through Rama Lama Records (Melby, Steve Buscemi's Dreamy Eyes, Guds Pengar, Kluster B, Loaver, Julia Rakel, Gula Blend etc.).
