about
Jo Yonderly is back with the new single 'I Think I've Got It, Alright?'! After the release of the debut album 'Greatest Hits 1.0' last year and a few rare but mesmerizing live performances in Stockholm and Malmö, Jo Yonderly has spent time writing and recording while hospitalized..
The new single showcases Jo Yonderly from his most groovy and melodic side, with the smooth verses and the catchy chorus all tied together in a wonderful indie/pop/psych hypnotic flow. Thematically, Yonderly once again touches the subject of mental illness in his honest way, it's the first of a string of standalone singles that will be released from Yonderly during the year. He says that the song is about “the battle between two vastly different worlds. In the first, chaos reigns, and in a way, freedom - in the other world, history repeats itself - you're walking down the same old roads, treading in the same old footsteps you've always known”
The track is recorded and produced by Jo Yonderly himself in the legendary Tambourine studios and mastered by Joakim Lindberg.
'I Think I've Got It, Alright?' is out now on all digital platforms via Rama Lama Records (Melby, Kindsight, Chez Ali, Steve Buscemi's Dreamy Eyes, wy etc.)
lyrics
Lonely feeling comes
it must not be ignored
I have been here before
always wanting more
I'm a self-made man
but I was carelessly built
by self-esteem, self contempt
and guilt
I think I've got it alright, now?
I think I understand?
I think I comprehend?
What life is all about and I can fly!
I think I've got it alright, now?
I think I understand?
I think I comprehend?
What life is all about and I can fly!
Brick by brick
And with sticks and stones
they never broka a bone
they only broke my soul
I'm a self-made man
but I was carelessly built
built with self contempt, self-loaded
with guilt
I think I've got it alright, now?
I think I understand?
I think I comprehend?
What life is all about and I can fly!
I think I've got it alright, now?
I think I understand?
I think I comprehend?
What life is all about and I can fly!
I think I understand
I think I understand
